Bertelli, Donato

Donato Bertelli was a Venetian publisher and mapseller who flourished from 1558 to 1584. He re-issued some of Paolo Forlani’s work. Forlani was a copper plate engraver and publisher from Verona and worked in Venice (flourished from 1560-1571). Bertelli also acquired many of Giovanni Francesco Comocio’s plates. Camocio was a bookseller, publisher, pint and mapseller from Venice.

The Yale Map Department has one map in it’s collection by Bertelli.
